Nasal Fracture Repair Rhinoplasty

Procedure Details

After an injury caused a nasal fracture, this patient healed with a bump in her nasal bone. It was protruding, uncomfortable and her breathing was blocked. Using an open rhinoplasty approach, Dr. Suzman repaired and re aligned the broken bones, straightened the bent septum with a septoplasty and spreader grafts and supported the tip. The turbinates were reduced to increase airflow (air passage glands that can swell with allergies or irritation). She healed well and thinks this the the best rhinoplasty surgery result possible!

Nasal Fracture vs. Rhinoplasty

Somtimes patients undergo surgery to correct cosmetic changes and sometimes the changes are the result of an injury,

Injuries make the surgery more complicated as there can be problems with the bone, cartilage, skin and airway.  Fortunately most patients end up with significant improvements in appearance and breathing.
