Motiva Implants

 * Motiva: Some studies suggest that Motiva's smooth silk surface technology may contribute to lower rates of capsular contracture due to reduced friction and inflammation. 

 * Sientra, Allergan, and Mentor: These brands offer both smooth and textured implants. While textured implants were once thought to reduce capsular contracture rates, recent discussions regarding Breast Implant-Associated Anaplastic Large Cell Lymphoma (BIA-ALCL) have led to a re-evaluation and, in some cases, a reduction in the use of certain highly textured implants. Smooth implants are generally associated with a slightly higher risk of capsular contracture compared to some textured options, but this can be mitigated by surgical technique.
