Dysport is a wrinkle relaxer that consists of botulinum toxin type A, a natural substance produced by the body, which is also found in BOTOX. This natural toxin is injected into the desired areas of the face, typically around the forehead, for the purpose of relaxing and restricting the movement in the muscles that cause dynamic wrinkles. Board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Suzman at WESTMED Group in Westchester County, NY offers this treatment to his patients who are searching for a way to rejuvenate their skin and reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles on their face. Results will vary per patient but can typically last for around 4-6 months.
"Excellent surgeon - Dr Suzman did a superb job on my facelift. He also did fat transfer, chemical peel and Botox. I love the way I look in the mirror thanks to Dr Suzman. He has a terrific, caring personality - he is wonderful! No problem getting appointments, no wait time. Office staff is wonderful. I could not be more pleased."- Anonymous / Vitals / Jan 30, 2019

"Dr. Suzman is so caring and so knowledgeable. I have seen him many times over the years for both cosmetic and medical reasons. He is a calming presence. If you want to see him for cosmetic reasons, he’s fantastic. You will NEVER look like you had filler or Botox. You will just look younger. If you are going for medical reasons, he is really the best. Very thoughtful in his approach."- C.A. / Google / Jan 24, 2020
"Dr. Suzman closed after my MOHS surgery. The surgery was front & center on my nose. I have to say -- Dr. Suzman & the staff at his office, as well as the Rye Ambulatory Center, made a painful and uncomfortable situation as pleasant as possible with his informative, calming & pleasant nature, as well as a super-delightful staff. Helen Reyes, his PA-C, who handled a lot of my post-op visits and fresh wound care, was superb. Highly recommend."- G.D. / Google / Oct 26, 2019

Dysport is a great wrinkle treatment for patients who have:
- Wrinkles around the corners of the eyes (“crow’s feet”)
- Frown lines
- Smile lines
- Other dynamic wrinkles
What to Expect
The doctor can administer Dysport injections in our office, often on the same day as your consultation in about 30-60 minutes. Using an ultra-fine syringe, Dysport is injected in areas marked by the doctor. Most patients do not feel any discomfort after the initial prick of the needle, but a numbing cream may be used to improve your comfort. Patients experience some minor redness and swelling for a couple of hours, but a cold compress can reduce theses side effects.
Dysport commonly lasts longer and spreads further from the injection site than other wrinkle relaxers, on the market, which makes it ideal for the areas around the eyes (commonly known as “crow’s feet”). You may see some results right away, but your final results will be revealed a few days after your treatment. Dysport may be used with injectable wrinkle fillers to further improve the appearance of wrinkles and add volume to needed areas.
